A DISCUSSION ON THE PROPERTIES OF MHD SHOCKS IN TERMS OF THE CHARCTERISTIC VELOCITY

摘要: 本文用作者在文[1]中引入的特征速度U*作为磁流体力学激波的基本强度参数,解析地讨论了磁流体力学激波的种类和特性;详细地讨论了磁场强度跃变比h随特征马赫数平方M*2=U*2/C12的函数的变化;给出介质密度、压力、法向和切向速度[ux]/C1和[uy]/C1跃变比的结果,最后,讨论了包括励磁和消磁激波在内的垂直和平行磁流体力学激波的极限情形。Abstract: This paper discusses analytically the categories and properties of the MHDshock in terms of the characteristic velocity U* as its fundamental strength parameter,which was presented by the author (See Reference [1]).A detailed discussion is given on the variation of the jump ratio of magnetic field intensity h as a function of the square of the characteristic Mach number M*2=U*1/C12. The results are also given of the jump ratio of the fluid density p, pressure P, normal and tangential velocities [ux]/C1 and [uy]/C1. Finally, the limit cases of MHD shock, i.e. the perpen-dicular and parallel shocks including the switch-on and switch-off ones (Fig. 6) are discussed.
