Abstract:
Magnetic field reconnection is a very important energy conversion process in plasma. It is very important to study the form and distribution of energy conversion in this process. We select 10 magnetopause reconnection events observed by MMS through EDR to investigate the energy flux in asymmetric magnetic field reconnection, . We find that the distribution of energy flux is different in different events. However, in most of the events, the ion enthalpy flux is the dominant, followed by the Poynting flux. The ion heat flux is slightly less than Poynting flux, and the ion kinetic energy flux, electron enthalpy flux and electron heat flux account for less than 10%. With an appropriate normalization, we obtain the relationship diagram of different energy fluxes in the L and M directions with the magnetic field and ion velocity in the L direction, and analyze the characteristic distribution of each energy flux.
