Xinghong LUO, graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in 1990, graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University with a master's degree in engineering in 1993, and graduated from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences with a Doctor degree in engineering in 1997. He has been working at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 1997. He was promoted to associate professor in 1998 and professor in 2001. His main research fields are space materials science and special steel research. He has carried out a number of scientific research projects from the Manned Space Project, 863 Project, NSF, the CAS Strategic Pilot Project, etc. He is currently the executive member of the Chinese Society of Space Research and the vice Chairman of the Microgravity Science and Application Committee.
