Abstract: Three or two stage acceleration profiles are often encountered by astronauts during launching of space vehicles. In order to study the effects of this type of acceleration on human body, ten healthy young subjects were exposed to a three stage acceleration profile on a human centrifuge with a back angle of 15. The three stages lasted 150 seconds each, with successive peak of 4.6 and 5Grespectively.Electrocardiogram, blood pressure vibro-cardiogram, rheoencephalogram and respiration were recorded. Analysis and discussion of change of some important physio-logical parameters were made. Results showed that subjective feelings of the subjects were fairly good. Changes of the physiological parameters were within the range of a compensatory requlation. All subjects tolerated this profile of acceleration successively.
