CROSS-EQUATOR IPROPAGATION OF PLANETARY WAVES IN MIDDLE ATMOSPHERE

摘要: 使用一个全球原始方程半谱模式,模拟了行星波的跨赤道传播。结果指出:冬半球对流层顶附近准定常行星波的幅度起伏和相位变化,可以造成中层大气行星波的跨赤道传播,并且在夏半球形成瞬变行星波。所得结果为中层大气行星波的跨赤道传播、夏半球行星波的形成和南北半球之间的耦合提供了一种物理机制。Abstract: A semi-spectral model of global primitive equation is used to simulate the cross-equator propagation of quasi-stationary planetary waves.The results show that the amplitude fluctuation and phase variation of the quasi-stationary planetary waves at the tropopause in winter can cause the cross-equator propagation of the planetary waves in the middle atmosphere and create the transient planetary waves in the summer hemisphere.A new mechanism that the cross-equator propagation of the planetary waves in the middle atmosphere and the source of the planetary waves in summer hemisphere and the coupling between northern and southern hemispheres was advanced by the simulation.
