  • The Lunar Orbit Magnetometer (LOM) is a vector magnetic field detection payload installed on the Chang 'e-7 orbiter, consisting of two three-component fluxgate sensors. According to the scientific mission of LOM, the range of LOM is designed to be ±128nT and ±2000nT, and the sampling rate is designed to be 128Hz. In the article, the design and components of LOM are introduced。Based on the basic data processing pipeline on orbit, the methods of the ground calibration tests of the flight model of LOM are established. The performances of lOM, such as the frequency response, noise, linear parameters and temperature effect of the fluxgate are calibrated through experiments., and the calibration results can provide support for the processing of future on orbit magnetic field data. The test results show that the uncertainty in the magnetic field detected by LOM is better than 0.05nT, and the ground calibration accuracy of LOM can reach 0.5nT.
